Igor Yeah, I get that it depends on usage, and it really is arbitrary how apps decide to handle this. There’s no right answer, I suppose What I just came up with is, maybe instead of only a save option, you could also have a “save and enter another transaction” button. When entering in bulk, and using that function, it would perhaps make more sense to keep the same date as the previously added transaction. Or not! Either way this extra button could be handy, and there is still plenty of screen real estate in the Enter Transaction modal. Let me know if you’d like me to submit a ticket for this and you’ll handle the date part as you think best.
Igor But I forgot to mention, this fix is really ingenious! Will be using, great going there.
Ricardo: 'preciate ya 🤝 Btw, let me know if the swipe direction feels correct to you. Now that I think about it, swiping left to go forward a day might make more sense.
Igor Now that you mention it, yeah. If you imagine it like a wheel: Yesterday - Today - Tomorrow And swipe left to tomorrow, right to yesterday. Makes sense to me.
Ricardo: I’ll fix that in the next update
Igor Actually, I’ve played around a bit more with it now and feel the way it is is pretty intuitive! I’d say leave it and I’ll get back to you if feeling changes.
Ricardo: I fixed it a little before you commented this. Its a quick fix to change it back but I've already built the next version (1.80.0) and its not up for review. Play around with it the other direction and see how you feel. I'll flip it back if you say so.
Done! Update to v1.79.0 to see the changes. Ricardo just a heads up, I couldn't come up with a good way to handle this. There is an equal chance that someone might think the date resets automatically back to today when creating a new transaction. For now, you can swipe left or right on the date field without clicking on it to change the date. This should save you one extra tap per transaction. Its not exactly what you were looking for, but I hope this is enough to satisfy the request. If not, please feel free to open another one, copy and paste the same request, and we can have others vote on it. Thanks 🫡
