Referral Program

Also, we need to figure out how to actually give you a free month. Apple does not currently support referral programs within the subscription model. It would be very convoluted to get you your first month. We would need to confirm your received a free month, then reach out to you to ask you to unsubscribe from the app, then we give you a code to use for your next month, and finally after your free month expires you have to re-subscribe again manually. This is likely against Apple's terms and conditions, from my surface level research on the topic. If you have an example of another app doing a referral program while using Apple's subscription service (not paying with a credit card through an external provider), I would greatly appreciate you sharing that. We may need to roll out 3rd party payment processing before a Referral Program can exist. Good news is I have only done limited research and may be completely wrong.

Hey Richard! No immediate plans, but this is something that Igor and I have talked about quite a bit. Frankly, I think we're waiting on more users before rolling something like this out, but I think we agree that this is a great idea. I'd say it's something we'll likely get around to in the next 3-⁠6 months, but not likely something imminent!
