Move funds from one category to another easier

Would be great to have ability to move from one category to another in a more streamlined way.

Done! Update to v1.92.0 to move money from one category to another. Swipe right on the category to begin. Thank you Michael for the suggestion. Probably top 3 most voted feature requests. Nice job!

On it! I'm making a first pass on this. It won't look good, but you'll be able to transfer funds from one category to another. Soon!

Would love some more feedback from you all on this. Would an essential part of this be some means to track when budget is moved from one category to another? Not entirely sure what this might look like in practice, but have heard some additional user feedback that tracking when funds are moved from category to category having a paper trail of sorts is highly valuable.

Hey Noah. For me, it’s more about the ease of funding an overspent category. Currently, you need to remove money from one category to have it go to assign now, then assign it to the category in the red. Let’s say I went to Target and spent $100 but I only had $70 in my shopping category, I would like streamline the process by selecting a funded category like groceries and easily move $30 from groceries to shopping, IMO - I’m less concerned about tracking - more so about simplifying the process

Noah Hensley I'm not sure if the movements between categories would be valuable (maybe from a statistical point of view, perhaps - something like "I move 50€ from groceries to eating out every month on average", but for me it's not super important. As a suggestion, I noticed that holding and dragging on a category doesn't currently do anything. It could be a really intuitive way of handling these moves. You touch and hold in one category and then drag (while still holding down) to another category. Like if you're simply dragging money from one (digital) envelope to another.

Fábio: This is an interesting approach we hadn't thought of before. We'll be keeping it in mind alongside the other feedback we've heard once we kick off working on this feature :)
