Buckets for remaining dollars after fully funding month

When I fully fund a month and have some money left over, I don’t want to go into the future month to assign the remaining dollars. That gets confusing as I forget where I assigned the money. Instead of moving to future months, let’s have one or more big buckets that we can put leftover money into. Then, when the month rolls over to the next month, we can easily distribute the money from the bucket to fund the now current month.

I just leave my extra funds in the Ready to Assign area. I assume that carries over month to month?

Casey Elliott: Yes, it will roll over. The goal, though, is to assign all of your RTA as soon as you can. I guess its not that big of a deal to leave it in RTA. Its all personal preference at the end of the day. Some create a new category called "HOLDING" where they put extra money into, so their RTA is clear at all times. To each their own.

Igor I am sure that would work as well as long as the ability to transfer money between categories is present.

Hi Igor! In YNAB, I create a "miscellaneous" category to maintain all my extra funds that I'll be re-distributing. You could do something similar with this app. I'm not sure if the "rollover" function was available on the categories yet when you first posted this, but it does a good job of showing extra money ready to be rolled over in each category in my opinion!
